Supported Products
CallFixit Computers provides service on the following products: Laptops, Desktop Computers, Netbooks, Printers, and Data Recovery on Storage Devices. Any product not listed may be serviced at the discretion of CallFixit Computers managers and technicians, but the ability to service is not guaranteed, either implicitly or explicitly.
Service
All services are guaranteed 14 days from the intake date specified on the Service Ticket Intake Form and are non-refundable. Parts purchased for a repair or service cannot be refunded, upgraded, or returned for credit. It should be noted that parts are not guaranteed to be new unless explicitly stated. While we prefer using new parts whenever possible, sometimes only used or refurbished parts are available.
Payment Terms
Full payment is required upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs. Payment is required before the release of the client’s property. CallFixit Computers accepts payments in cash, checks, and credit cards. Computer parts, hardware, or software that are ordered or special ordered must be paid for in advance.
Manufacturer Warranty Repair
Please be aware that certain services provided by CallFixit Computers may void your manufacturer's warranty. We will do our best to notify you before proceeding with any services that may affect your warranty. Some manufacturers offer exceptions for professional repair shops, but we cannot guarantee that your manufacturer will provide such exceptions, nor do we have a list of manufacturers who do.
Always make sure to check with your manufacturer before bringing a device that is still under warranty for repair. If your product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty or an extended third-party service contract, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly that governs the warranty. Any additional charges applicable under your product's warranty or extended service contract, including tax or shipping fees, will be your responsibility. Any computer components purchased and installed on a client’s behalf are covered by the manufacturer's or seller's warranty. The components and parts are not covered by a warranty with CallFixit Computers for repairs or service. CallFixit Computers services do not offer manufacturer or third-party vendor warranty repairs. By accepting service from CallFixit Computers, you acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for voiding your device's manufacturer's warranty.
Parts
CallFixit Computer Services may utilize new, used, or reconditioned (refurbished/pre-owned) parts. CallFixit Computer Services will keep the replaced part as its property, and the replacement part will become your property. There is no warranty on parts. CallFixit Computers may repair replaced parts for resale.
Estimate and Repair Time
Estimates and repairs will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. We aim to provide on-the-spot estimates to all customers. However, due to the complexity of electronics, we may need to open and thoroughly examine the device before providing an exact estimate and diagnosis. In such cases, we strive to give an estimate within 24 hours of the device being left with us, but we cannot guarantee an exact time until you receive a diagnosis and estimate.
While we take pride in the speed of our repairs, the time taken for your repair is influenced by factors beyond our control. We will strive to service your device as promptly as possible in the order it was received. Although many repairs are completed within 24-72 hours, we do not guarantee a specific service time. Any references to service times on our website or in promotional materials are estimates based on previous experience and are not intended to represent an exact time frame or offer any guarantees of service time.
For customers requiring the fastest possible repair, Rush Service is available. This may incur an additional Rush Service Fee based on our current job volume and the complexity of your repair. Rush Service means your device is moved to the top of our repair queue and serviced by a technician before other devices that came in before yours. However, it does not guarantee a specific time frame for the completion of your device's repair.
Equipment Storage and Handling
We do not cover misuse, tampering, abuse, fire, theft, accidental damage, surges, spikes, brownouts, hurricanes, or any other natural or unnatural phenomena. This also applies to all our services. Due to storage limitations, we will keep devices for up to 30 days after notifying you about their availability for pickup. If we do not receive any response from you during this period, we will consider your device abandoned and it will become the property of CallFixit Computers. We cannot guarantee that your equipment will not be discarded after the initial 30-day period, so please ensure to collect your equipment on time or make arrangements with CallFixit Computers for storage.
Transportation
If necessary, the client authorizes CallFixit Computers' staff and contractors to receive and transport your machine to and from a repair destination.
Data
CallFixit Computers does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While we take every possible precaution to ensure the integrity of your data is unaffected, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed by CallFixit Computers.
Due to the complex nature of electronic devices, we cannot predict what may happen to your data in every situation. We strongly encourage you to back up any important files and documents before you bring your device in for service.
Installation and Data Transfer
If any repair service involves transferring information or installing software, you confirm that you have the legal right to copy the information. You agree to the terms of the software licenses and authorize CallFixit Computers to transfer the information and accept those terms on your behalf while performing the service.
Software Licensing
Legal software licensing is the responsibility of the computer system and software owner. The customer must provide all legally owned and licensed software, including operating systems. This can be software or the operating system that came with the computer when it was purchased or purchased separately. If the customer is unable to provide CallFixit Computers technicians with software licenses, authentic installation discs, product keys, and installation codes, the customer will need to purchase legally licensed software to complete a repair or upgrade. CallFixit Computers cannot install any software program or operating system the customer does not legally own. For full details on software licensing, please refer to the Software Licensing Agreement that came with the software or visit the software manufacturer's website.
Remote Support
A remote support connection allows CallFixit Computers technicians to share control of the customer's PC in order to resolve many types of computer issues without needing an onsite visit. When a customer requests and accepts a remote session from a CallFixit Computers representative to assist with a technical issue, the customer takes responsibility for any changes made to the computer's content or system settings. CallFixit Computers does not assume any liability for the viewing of any content, the operation of the remote support software, or the system's performance.
Our customers' data is important to us. However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they back up their data regularly. CallFixit Computers will not be held responsible for any data loss that occurs during or after a remote session. If you do not have a data backup, please contact us for assistance in setting up a backup procedure.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CallFixit Computers BE LIABLE FOR (1) ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR (2) ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER WRONGFUL ACTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROVISION OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES.
Advertising
We reserve the right to use before and after pictures of your computer, both online and in print, as examples of the work performed in our shop. Additionally, we reserve the right to affix a sticker with our company information on your computer for tracking and advertising purposes.
Termination of Service
CallFixit Computers reserves the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason at any time. Similarly, the customer has the right to terminate the service of CallFixit Computers at any time. However, all service fees, labor charges, and the cost of parts must be paid in full to CallFixit Computers before any customer-owned property and equipment is returned. CallFixit Computers also reserves the right to remove any parts, equipment, or materials installed by CallFixit Computers if the customer invokes termination of service and fails to immediately pay for such parts, equipment, materials, service fees, and labor charges at the time of termination of service.
Information Collection and Use
When you visit our stores, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. This information may be used for questions, comments, service requests, product offers, service updates, sending confirmations, invoices, updates, and support and administrative messages. Personally identifiable information refers to information that is connected to your name and may include things such as your email address, mailing address, or telephone number.
Sharing
CallFixit Computers may share your personally identifiable information with affiliated companies, which are those that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with CallFixit Computers. There may be instances when CallFixit Computers may disclose personally identifiable information without providing you with a choice, to protect the legal rights of CallFixit Computers, other affiliated companies, or their employees, agents, and contractors; to ensure the safety and security of visitors; to protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or to comply with the law or legal process. Additionally, if CallFixit Computers sells all or part of its business, makes a sale or transfer of assets, or is involved in a merger or business transfer, CallFixit Computers may transfer your personally identifiable information to a third party as part of that transaction.
Changes to This Policy
CallFixit Computers reserves the right to make changes to this policy at any time. The last modified date of this policy is provided in the last paragraph of this policy. We will modify this date if we change this policy.
Access and Choice
CallFixit Computers has implemented the following procedure that you may use to access, correct, or delete your personally identifiable information, or choose how your information is used. Limitation of Liability
SERVICE PROVIDER WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF PROFIT, LOST TIME, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE OF ANY SUCH EQUIPMENT, COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS, TECHNOLOGY OR SERVICES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE BREAKDOWN OR FAILURE OF ANY COMPUTER PRODUCTS, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE, OR FROM DELAYS IN SERVICING OR THE INABILITY TO RENDER SERVICE ON ANY COMPUTER PRODUCTS, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE LIKELIHOOD OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THIS AGREEMENT, THE SERVICE PROVIDER’S LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER’S NEGLIGENCE OR INSTALLATION OF DEFECTIVE PARTS OR COMPONENTS, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH DEFECT WAS KNOWN OR DISCOVERABLE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PRICE PAID TO SERVICE PROVIDER BY CLIENT FOR THE COMPUTER PRODUCTS, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE, PARTS OR SERVICE WHICHEVER IS LESS.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions constitute the sole and entire agreement between you and CallFixit Computers regarding the services provided and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding CallFixit Computers services.
